First floor complete
The first floor is complete. The blocklayers finished all the internal walls downstairs today. Next week the floor on the second level is starting. They got interrupted a bit at the beginning due to bad weather but once they got a good stretch of weather the past 2 weeks or so they made real progress. Have ordered second drawdown of mortgage. Must pay instalment on UDH, and must pay for roof timber and now blocklayers. Got a quote of €13k VAT excl for plastering. That includes the slabbing and all materials. Going to get another 2 anyway to benchmark that. Have lots of pics of internal walls on first floor now. Now I can walk into each room and things are really beginning to take shape.
