Floors and insulation in + UDH starts

Have been swamped all week and haven't had chance to update this. The floors were poured last Friday. My Dad, my uncle and my cousin levelled it. They could have done with one other person they said but as usual the one day when you need someone they're not around. The insulation was packed yesterday. They got the materials in Brooks Haughton in Cork. The underfloor heating is starting today. I have several photos to upload but will take a few of underfloor heating pipes first and upload the whole lot together. The main thing with the UDH pipes is that ideally there should be no joinings for maximum effect so will be monitoring that one. SOS heating are probably the best in Munster and were recommended by several sources so not expecting any issues with them.

Waiting impatiently

The blocklayers arrived late last week and completed the blockwork around the radon barrier. Since then we are waiting for a good dry spell to pour the floors. Dad is hoping to commence it Friday as he is then away for 2 weeks. The weather is supposed to be good for weekend so hopefully that will allow it time to settle. SOS heating are on standby then to put down the underfloor heating pipes. The garage is ready for the floor to be poured now aswell. Good news is that I will be getting the timber for the roof at cost through a contact of my uncle so hopefully that will come in below budget now aswell. Must give a detailed specification of timbers required for a final quote. Meantime I'm waiting very very impatiently for floors to be poured.
